It’s done

So after what feels like an eternity we FINALLY released Rabenknarrs Adlerauge, our Augmented Audio GPS based game for Android.

A small story tl;dr:

Old Professor Rabenknarr has hacked into our smartphone from the year 2081 to ask us to assist him in his urgent mission. His younger self, busily researching in campus labs in our time, must be stopped from making a world-changing discovery: the end-energy element “Kropakium”. This task would be easily doable if only the professor wasn’t so forgetful… and so the players embark on a mission across the campus of the University of Bayreuth in search of clues and information

In this game you walk around the campus of the University of Bayreuth and follow the instructions of Prof. Rabenknarr. It is a small, interactive thriller story in which your smartphone becomes a multi-function hacking device. Accompanied by Prof. Rabenknarr, you have to collect information, eavesdrop on conversations and maybe even save the world.

After several postponed deadlines, a far too large scope and more sleepless nights than I would admit, the game is finally available to the public.

If you’re interested, feel free to download the game from Google Play.

For the game, I basically wrote almost all of the code, worked in the design process, pulled my hair out over technical issues, and put it all together in Unity. This was by far my most ambitious Unity project, and in retrospect, I would of course do everything differently again. But right now I’m just happy that the project is now at a presentable state and I can now take care of other things like my last semester here at university.

Unfortunately the project is completely in german and there are no plans for an english version yet. If that changes I will post it here for sure.
